Concept
- Volunteer-Families (VF), led by father/husband, will visit Recipient-Families (RF) and read to the children assigned to them.
- RF are families who are unable to read to their children due to various circumstances, e.g. families with illiterate parents.
- VF will visit RF as a family (i.e. father will go with his children or wife or both) or as a couple (i.e. husband and wife).
What it involves
Commitment from Volunteer family
1. Attend 2 sessions of Training.
2. Attend Launch session where you will meet RF families dinner provided
3. Attend at least one Sharing session
4. Attend Closing Celebration dinner provided
5. Conduct 8 to 10 sessions of reading at the RF home.
(Note: Fathers/Husbands can attend these sessions alone. Wives are welcome to attend together with their spouses.)
