Geek Out at the Library
NLB is proud to present Geek Out at the Library, a series of collaborative events with My First Skool (MFS). Geek Out at the Library is held in conjunction with the annual MFS event, Kidz-in-Charge (KIC), which, this year, focuses on encouraging early literacy and values in young children.
Geek Out at the Library encourages parents to be aware of their children’s reading development by learning to select and use resources to support and promote early literacy development in their children. The session will also provide tips on literacy activities that parents can do at home. There will be storytelling sessions with stories written by MFS children based on values contained in A Very Big Storm, the first of four books on co-operative stories by SNCF, for the International Year of Co-operatives 2012.
Admission is FREE!
